I sit at a desk for most of the day, and by evening my calves usually feel heavy and worn out. I've been massaging this cream into my legs after work, and the cooling sensation feels especially nice when they're tired. After a few minutes, my legs feel more relaxed and comfortable, which makes this a really nice part of my after-work routine.
I bought this mainly because I'm self-conscious about the visible veins on my calves. What surprised me most is the texture. After massaging it in for a couple of minutes, my skin feels soft without being oily or coated. I can put on hosiery or fitted pants without waiting forever, which makes it much easier to use consistently.
I'm pretty selective about body-care products and usually read the ingredient list before buying. I liked seeing arnica, menthol, MSM, aloe vera, hemp seed oil, and sunflower seed oil together in one formula. After using it on my calves, I also like the light texture and cooling feelit massages in easily without leaving my skin overly greasy. So far, it feels like a thoughtfully formulated cream that I'm comfortable keeping in my daily routine.
I'm on my feet most of the day and wanted something simple to massage into my legs at night. The menthol cooling feel is noticeable without being overpowering, and it doesn't leave my skin overly greasy afterward. The jar is a little smaller than I expected, but a little cream goes a long way.
Absorbs Quickly And Leaves My Legs Noticeably Softer
I am 41 and started noticing spider veins as early as my late twenties, right around the same time my first gray hairs decided to make an appearance. At this point spider veins are nothing new to me. Most of the time I barely notice them because they blend in with the cellulite on my legs. I have tried different gimmicks and tricks here and there over the years to lessen their appearance, but it has never really been a self confidence issue for me. I also work on my feet and can spend 8 or more hours standing during a shift, so I have pretty much accepted that spider veins are probably going to be part of the deal.
That is also why I have realistic expectations for a cream like this. I am not expecting something I rub on my skin to suddenly erase veins that have been there for years. What interested me more was the formula and whether it could make my legs feel better while also potentially improving their appearance with continued use. It contains arnica along with MSM, aloe vera, vitamins B6 and E, and menthol, which is a combination that made sense to me for a topical leg cream.
What I can comment on immediately is how incredibly soft my skin feels after applying it. The cream feels more like a lightweight lotion than a thick treatment. It spreads very easily, so I do not need a huge amount to cover an area of my leg, and it absorbs surprisingly fast. Once it has soaked in, my skin does not feel oily, sticky or coated in residue. I can apply it and get dressed afterward without feeling like the cream is transferring everywhere.
I especially appreciate the texture because I would never keep using something on my legs regularly if it left them greasy. Since I am already on my feet so much during the day, adding a heavy product that sits on top of my skin would get annoying quickly. This absorbs thoroughly while still leaving behind that noticeable softness, which makes it much easier for me to actually stick with using it consistently.
The container is only 2.02 ounces, so it is fairly small for something intended to be applied to the legs. Thankfully the cream spreads well enough that I am not scooping out a large amount for every application. I do think the size is worth paying attention to if someone plans on using it over a large portion of both legs every day because it will naturally go faster that way.
It is much too soon for me to claim that years of visible spider veins have changed from using it, and I would rather judge that after consistent use than make an unrealistic claim after a few applications. So far, what I know for certain is that it feels good on my skin, absorbs quickly, leaves my legs extremely soft and does not leave behind the greasy residue I dislike in topical creams. Those qualities alone make it easy enough to continue using and actually give it the time needed to see whether there is any visible difference.
