PUTRIZEN PDRN Pink Collagen Volume Multi Balm Stick for Face & Eyes, 2-Pack

I wish all my skin care was in spray and stick form life would be much more efficient. First thing I like about this balm is the size- its a substantial surface area but small enough to get into smaller areas like the pits above the clavicles. Ive been concentrating there and my one wrist thats scarred from surgery and just always looks raw. I added a before and an immediate after applying this balm to my wrist scar (which is a few years old btw-its not the scar Im trying to improve but rather the entire area). The balm plumped the skin surrounding the slightly raised scar enough to make the surface flat which in turn lessened the cooor variance. It makes it as tho all the redness is gone. Its actually remarkable . The balm spreads on like room temp butter even when coming out of the skin care fridge. It has a really pleasant smell. Almost starburst adjacent except it doesnt smell fake. The balm has worked well in my clavicle area as well really improving the look and feel. That is the other trouble area I have.

What is PDRN?

Well, its weird but its actually salmon DNA, but it aids in skin regeneration, collagen production, reduces inflammation, is commonly associated with the glass skin craze which is very popular in Asian culture and starting to pick up momentum in the US.

And this stuff is pretty much in all my skincare products, because it works I tend to have dryer skin and this stuff adds moisture and bounce to my skin and even gives it a glossy/dewy glow to my skin. I use the stick at night most of the time and focus it on areas with finer likes. The crows feet, smile lines, forehead lines it adds an extra layer even after the PDRN serum that I use. I appreciate the formula is vegan and cruelty free always something I am looking for when purchasing a product. This pack also comes with two so you can carry one with you on the go. I did not find that this is actually a good primer prior to putting on makeup it really gives it an even/ balanced application. Overall really impressed with this product and wished I had switched over to Korean skincare long ago Ive never had a reaction and they use more cutting edge ingredients than the US. This is a 100% win in my book.

Ive tried several multipurpose balm sticks so far and this one is probably one of the best ones. That being said Im still learning how and when I like to apply it. The set comes in number of two which makes it good value deal. The sticks are packed separately and nicely and presentation gives confidence that is safe to be used. The balm is thick, texture of a chapstick - waxy and hard but it does melt on the skin and glides well - def try to warm it up if is too hard. Its very warm where I am so for me it glides great straight from the box. Ingredients are hydrating and nourishing and Id say they might contain some fillers because I noticed that my fine lines look plump and immediately better when I apply balm over which makes it cool for use during day. But, it being waxy feels kinda heavier on my combo skin (during warm summer) and it can cause peeling of the rest of my skincare, so I liked it more as part of night care. Thats why I say Im still learning when is the best time for me to use it. What I do now is use it as last step of my skincare during AM - and only on fine lines to blur them a bit and after serum, before facial oil as part of my PM care. I also think it can be reapplied throughout the day on parts needing extra care (fine lines, tight parts of skin etc). So morning is cleansing, toning, facial serum, moisturizer and then balm just around my lips, my forehead and over my lips. I do apply sunscreen on top but try not to touch much, I just tap it on my skin with tips of my fingers. I do not use foundation during summer so no peeling here. For PM I do cleanse, toning, serum then balm all over my face and neck, then facial oil on top. It does feel heavy but for PM I do not care. I do let it sit about 15-20min before I lay down on my pillow. The balm has scent, it smells like summery bubble gum, almost like for teenagers lol, but I do like the scent and it does go away fast so no biggie. Overall I like it and Ill keep using it in my skincare routine.

I have mixed feelings about this multi-balm stick. As someone who prefers a multi-layer skincare routine, this product has a hard time finding a place in my regimen, though it does have a few specific uses where it shines.

Texture & Application Even in the middle of summer, this balm stick is quite hard and dense. Because its so thick, it doesn't glide easily across the skin especially if you've already applied toners, serums, or lotions. Instead of transferring product, the stick tends to slip right over moisturized skin. It applies easier over completely dry, untreated skin, but because it acts as a heavy barrier, you can't layer other skincare on top of it afterward. I also noticed a slightly gritty texture on my face, though it didn't bother me as much when used on my body.

Surprisingly, this works exceptionally well as a lip balm! It goes on clear (despite the pink color in the tube) and has a pleasant melon scent.

Formula & Ingredients vs. Marketing Claims After checking the ingredient deck, here is how it actually stacks up against its main claims:

PDRN: Sodium DNA (the ingredient behind PDRN), but it is listed near the very bottom after preservatives.

Collagen & Plumping: Hydrolyzed collagen and Volufiline (Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract) are present.

Hydration & Line Care: Synthetic Wax, Candelilla Wax, Microcrystalline Wax mixed with Squalane, Rice Bran Oil, and Hyaluronic Acid = a powerful occlusive to seal in moisture.

Radiance: Mica and Iron Oxides give a light-reflecting shimmer rather than a long-term skin transformation.

"Under Eye": Direct application ends up draggin my undereye skin too much. I need to first put it on my fingers, and then tap onto my undereye.

If you want a quick, "one-and-done" protective seal for dry skin, this might suit you. But if you like multi-step layering routines, the dense, waxy texture makes it tricky to integrate.

I have wanted to try a PDRN stick for quite some time, so I was happy to see this one come across my desk. It checked all of my ��I must try this�� boxes: collagen, caffeine, multiple uses, a non-greasy formula, and made in Korea.

It definitely hydrates and seems to soften the appearance of fine lines almost immediately. I believe much of that immediate improvement comes from the added moisture and the way the balm plumps dry skin. It is less greasy than similar formulas I have tried. If I gently rub it into my skin rather than simply applying it and leaving it, there is no greasy look; just soft, moisturized skin.

The balm glides on smoothly and has an almost creamy feel as it melts into the skin. It also has a faint bubble-gum scent, although the fragrance is not overwhelming. I especially like using it under makeup because it helps my makeup look smoother and more natural rather than emphasizing dry areas.

This is not a miracle on a stick, but it is an easy and convenient way to add moisture wherever I need it. I look forward to using it consistently and seeing whether there are additional benefits over time.
